Clausecheck is operated by a sole trader based in Japan. For any question about your data, or to have it deleted, write to privacy@accessibilityevidence.com and we will identify ourselves in full to you. If you are in the EU or UK and need the operator's registered details before you send data, ask first and we will send them to you before you use the service.

On a single server in Falkenstein, Germany, operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, who act as our hosting processor. DNS for this domain is also operated by Hetzner. Nothing is copied to any other provider. Scan results are produced by software running on that same machine — the page you ask us to test is fetched by that server, not by a third-party service.
When you submit a URL we load that page in a browser on our server, in the
same way any visitor would. We only fetch publicly reachable addresses; requests
for private or internal addresses are refused. We do not log in, do not submit
forms, and do not follow links away from the page you gave us. For a paid
full-site report we additionally read your robots.txt and sitemap to
find pages to test.
Under the GDPR: performing the scan you asked for and replying to a report request are processing necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). Rate limiting and access logs rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and not being abused (Art. 6(1)(f)).
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to privacy@accessibilityevidence.com. Because we hold so little, deletion is usually immediate: for a report request it means removing one database row. If you are in the EU you also have the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.
If we change what the service collects, this page changes on the same day. The date at the top is the real date of the last change.
